PAKISTAN’S  2006 MONSOON (Jul-Sep)  RAINFALL

 Pakistan had experienced moderately above normal rainfall (27.2 % ) during the monsoon (Jul -Sep) 2006 season. While viewing the seasonal rainfall on province basis. The province of Punjab received normal rainfall (1.5 % ), the provinces of NWFP & Balochistan had experienced slightly above normal rainfall (22.0 % & 12.4 %  respectively ). Whereas the province of Sindh had received largely above normal rainfall ( 116.6 % ). Following figure further illustrate the (area weighted) actual & normal rainfall during current season over country & provinces.
